Justin Johnson

Bio.

I began tattooing as an apprentice in 2009, shortly after a long term professional career in a rock band. After my apprenticeship ended, the next step for me became opening Seattle Ink and Oil in 2012. A brighter, more welcoming and streamlined tattoo experience for both clients and artists involved, it has allowed me the ability to foster my own career, as well as many other artists, including my apprentices. It’s been a great ride working with so many wonderful people and celebrating deep meaning in the craft and experience. A lifelong artist and creative, and progressing into many mediums throughout my journey, I gravitated toward oil painting oil 12 years ago, and have enjoyed the parallel feel visually I am able to achieve on skin as well as canvas. It has become an integral part of my tattooing. My focus is realism tattooing with the influence of a painter. I enjoy working with a wide range of people and their ideas to create a varied range of content. It has been my pleasure to serve my clients for over a decade now.

I believe in the commitment to the client and the community. Tattoo artists wouldn’t be here without their clients.

I am happy to sit with you for a consultation or painting commission!

All consultations and tattoos are done by appointment only.
